Our upcoming BioBlitz on May 30, 2026 is fast approaching, and we’re encouraging all participants and volunteers to download the iNaturalist app before the event.
What is iNaturalist?
iNaturalist is a free mobile app that helps people identify and record plants, insects, birds, fungi, and other wildlife. During the BioBlitz, the app will allow participants to easily upload observations and contribute valuable data to our community biodiversity survey.
Whether you’re an experienced naturalist or completely new to species identification, iNaturalist is simple to use and a great learning tool for all ages.
Why Download It Before the Event?
Downloading and setting up the app ahead of time will help you:
- Save time on event day
- Learn how the app works in advance
- Start practicing by identifying species around your home or neighbourhood
- Ensure you’re ready to contribute observations during the BioBlitz
Every observation helps us better understand and protect the natural biodiversity of our region.
How to Get Started
